Evie needs an off-button. NOW.

She came home at about 11 o'clock last night extremely giddy and squealing about how she's just been employed. In fact, the words, "I got a job! I got a job!" was about the ONLY thing I heard for about three hours afterwards. And now it's morning. And it's started again.

Oh, dear Merlin, why?

Oh. I discovered who the, er, problematic assistant my new employer was referring to was.

Summerby's hair hasn't changed an ounce.

I still don't like it longish. I only like Derek's like that.

And if he asks me how I am one. More. Time, I may be forced to hex him. Ugh. That's Summerby, not McGrath, of course. I'm not sure it's within me to even direct rantage at McGrath, I mean, aside from the fact he is utterly disarming.

Ben, Peace and Offchance Surprises

There was a rogue pigeon trapped in my office today - I'm a bit hazy on the details as to how it actually got in, as I do not recall opening the window - but I've decided to call it 'Ben'. It's a pity I can't take Ben home. Marlowe would absolutely rip him to shreds. But he seems happy hanging out on the balcony I have behind my desk - providing he is a he. Although, I've gotten too used to calling him Ben the Bird that even if he was in actual fact a she, she'd remain 'Ben' nonetheless. If any of that made even an ounce of sense.

I'm also seriously considering handing in my two weeks notice. I'm tired of being rushed off my feet and tense half the time. There has to be a job somewhere out there that I am much more suited to anyway. If only I knew what that job were.

It's been a relatively quiet week. The Weird Sisters are in the studio recording, so there's only the minimal Girl Friday things to do - and Myron's actually not very demanding when he has something to focus on. Saturday is a return to the frazzle, though. Peace and quiet is so short lived around here.

Oh, but here's for something unbelievable. Adeline was actually nice to me at dinner. Apparently, she had a run-in with Vicky...

Just got back from the Weird Sister's concert. And there's another this evening. And then on Tuesday I have to go with the band to Paris for two nights. Thankfully, come Thursday, there are no more gigs and I plan on coming home early and... I have absolutely no idea what I'll do. Staying home all night is not an option, and I have no idea who I'll go visit. I could see Ginny and Ernie and their kitten - if the kitten's arrived yet. I didn't keep note. But I do need to pick up my scarf from Evil's. And Quintus and I are long overdue our weekly night out. And I'd love to go visit the Kirkes. But, I haven't seen Dad in a bit. Or Mum, for that matter. And Christopher'll be home, too. I suppose I should take him with me when I grab a chance to see Evil. Oh, LENA'll be home too! I could drop in to see her when I see Mum? When I see Mum... Oh bother.

First come, first serve, it is then. Who wants to hang out with me on Thursday?

And once again, I really, really hope Derek skipped Vaisey's entry. I mean, I don't think he's the type to ever demand an explanation... But... I just hope he doesn't see it.

Oh, and my room is finally wallpapered! So I guess all that leaves is the unpacking it properly. Good gracious. It might help if I were here more often to do said unpacking.

I chose a very pretty blue wallpaper instead of paint for my room. Which means I have to wait for it to be wallpapered before I can truly move in. Thankfully working for the ever whimsical Myron has left me with a very large phone book full of efficient resources.

Meanwhile, I've just realised, EVIE HOBBLE is moving in next week. And I'm still fighting to keep the last room vacant until I find someone bearable to occupy it. Which means I'm covering for the rent of that room, because Adeline's too much of a bitch 'taxed' already, money-wise. Please, does ANYONE know of someone in need of a place to live?

And is that Prof. Sinny's BROTHER I just saw walk by? Merlin. D'you think it'd be too silly or desperate of me to say hi? Oh... does he need a place to stay? No. No. Am not going to ask THAT. Honestly, Dem.

And I really should tell someone about Myron hitting on me again this afternoon. But who? Maddy's got her brother to worry about, Vaisey's got Maddy to worry about. Quint's on cloud nine and has more than enough people to be concerned about. Ginny's darling, but she's about to see Merton and the last thing I want for her to do is rage about his bandmember before the date. I don't want anyone to rage. See. This is where talking to Jack would be handy. But he's overseas, isn't he? Ugh. Grand.

Bee, Drew, Cai? D'you all think you could be there for my last night at the flat? I move out on Saturday, remember. So, don't make plans. And have you found a replacement for me yet? And, yes, I'll stop asking questions sometime about now... ish.

Any way, I hope you got enough baking from Mama, Terry. I was surprised you turned up cleanshaven and scrubbed up too.

And now to return to packing. Gracious. I have alot of stuff.

Home at last and very, very tired. Myron just absolutely had to have that 'last' drink, didn't he? And of course, I had to make sure he got home safe and sound. Thankfully the pub we were at was not too far from his house - but he is awfully heavy and had to lean on me the whole way.

Good grief. Rockstars - I swear, they must all be the same, Muggle or Wizard.

And Cai, don't you breathe a word. I know what you're thinking.

Anyway, I did get time out today and had a hair-cut. It's very short. I like it, at least. I hope everyone else isn't too shocked. Andrew did a bit of a double take when he opened the door, but said it suited me... So, yes. I'm feeling awfully vain, writing about my hair.

How is everyone else?
